A document translation must match the legal purpose and the receiving institution’s requirements. A readable translation is not necessarily a formally acceptable certified translation.
Keep the complete official chain visible
Names, dates, stamps, signatures, endorsements and apostilles can be as important as the body text. Provide the whole document and identify inconsistent spellings across records. A translation should not silently correct an error in the original; the underlying record may need a separate correction.
Confirm certification before ordering
Some uses require a sworn translation with notarial certification, while others have different standards. A foreign institution may ask for its own accepted translator or format. Turkey Legal does not itself claim to issue certified translations; qualified providers perform that work where arranged within the agreed scope.
Access is an entitlement, not a promise
Court files, civil records, banking information and land registry information are governed by different access rules. A lawyer’s professional status does not provide unrestricted access to every record. Some applications require a power of attorney, a party connection, heirship evidence or a court decision. If a document cannot legally be supplied, the answer should say so and explain any lawful alternative rather than imply an official connection.
Keep sensitive material out of the first enquiry
A short description, record type, country of use and deadline are usually enough to identify a starting point. Do not send passwords, e-Devlet credentials, complete banking details, identity numbers or a full criminal file through the open enquiry form. Once scope and authority are agreed, a suitable document-exchange method can be established. Name differences across passports, marriage records and judgments should be disclosed because they can affect acceptance.

Can this process be handled while you live abroad?
Some records can be obtained through a representative; others require personal application, a particular legal interest or an institutional process. Electronic availability does not automatically mean a document is valid for every foreign use.
